  1. We undertake internet access services through our Telecentre integration to what communities do as outlined in the models below
        • This conceptual is implemented at the community level using the implementation model shown below and which benefits from the collaboration that our training institute has with global ICT4D initiatives such as Telecentre.org Foundation, Cisco and Intel.
  2. We engage with internet presence and web-based applications through our content development arm focusing more on data solutions that deliver value to clients engaged with agriculture. Our own website, which supports agriculture and agricultural related enterprises is a good example of that.   3. We support our clients through the WebEx solution from Cisco that enables us to interact with them on voice, text, video (eTube/YouTube) and through it the call back model that links with mobile and fixed telephone networks

  6. Implementation
        • We are part of the global telecentre movement where we seek to see the diminution of the digital divide seen between rural areas and urban centers. We support direct investment in the ICT infrastructure by the communities while we retain capacity building and support roles. The enterprises at the grassroots are owned by the communities or local entrepreneurs at the grassroots.
  7. Inclusion of youth and women
        • While we promoter and indeed incubate SMEs whether in rural areas or in urban areas, we are particularly keen to create partnerships with youth and women groups interested in linking their activities to the market through eCommerce platforms that we develop and support.
  8. Using value chains to break cultural and economic exclusion and address power imbalance
        • Through our ICT solutions development arm Octagon Data Systems Limited. The company’s solutions work in the Dairy sector where in one cooperative payments for milk pay for credit procurement of domestic consumption, paying fees for children in school, paying for the consumption of the animals the balance which is then available to the man of the house and because it is hardly large, the funds normally run the house which is the domain of the women and children. The community here is thoroughly empowered.
  9. Sustainability through best practices
          • Our technology interventions define best practices in agriculture and have been adopted by tea multinationals and smallholder dairy farmers. We automate what farmers do starting with digitally weighing the agricultural produce to ensure a producer’s do not lose their deliveries to intentional or un-intentional clerical errors, tying the data so captured to payments for produce, which is linked to a savings and credit cooperative of the farmers.
          • The infrastructure to offer the foregoing service is paid for through farmer earnings from the market and hence eliminates the need to go to the government or donors for support.
  10. Reliance on research in technology research and global best practices of World Bank, Microsoft, USAID/FACET
      1. Our business is driven by research. We work with and through researchers who work with leading organizations and universities directing most of the activities that we do. We shall ensure that every activity we carry out conforms to any set international standard and best practices of development research.
